La Tequila Jalisco in Fredericksburg

Waited far too long for the food. I was expecting so much more after I read the article hanging up while waiting & the reviews. There was not near enough beans & rice w the meal & the ranchero chicken enchiladas were not that at all. The queso dip was watery. Side lettuce looked horrible. I was expecting way more from what seemed to be a homemade Tex Mex restaurant.

The great reviews drew us in and the amazing food will definitely bring us back. We are a family of six so we tried a few different plates. My husband and I had the asada Grandes Tacos, the kids had chicken fajita quesadillas and beef fajita quesadillas. The table shared queso and it was all amazing. The salsa was the highlight of the meal. I'm from West Texas but this place has some great salsa that rivals any West Texas salsa! You must stop and eat here!

This place has the best coffee in town. The service is almost always fantastic, unless they are super busy at the time, which is understandable, and I have almost never been disappointed by the food. We love to come in for breakfast, or to split a fajita platter for lunch. Staff responds to special requests to accommodate low-carb, gluten free, or diabetic guests.

This restaurant has been here about two plus years and is in the old Denny's building. They have completely remodeled the inside. It was clean. Alcohol is available. Service was outstanding truly above average. Wait staff was equipped with electronic devices that sent your order to the kitchen. The menu prices were 0K and a little better than I thought it would be. I have no trouble recommending this restaurant.

I ordered Chicken Fajita Quesadilla! Very much enjoyed it. The Tres Leches desert was tasty too. It was moist and not overly sweet.Definitely will return!

Awesome place and killer street tacos. Add bacon to take these things to the next level! Really clean, and super fast and friedly service.

The street tacos are great. Queso is okay but overall pretty good.

La Tequila Jalisco wasn’t our first choice for eating out, but it was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed our food, but the real prize at this restaurant is the atmosphere and more importantly the staff. The staff made it their goal to make sure you had the best time you could. If you’re #1 is customer service this is the restaurant for you.

***UPDATE*** Still really great here, the waitstaff is always well trained the owner and manager are attentive and always on hand. We eat here almost daily now! Good food ALWAYS fresh and they don't mind fixing what you want even if it isn't on the menu! LOVE IT HERE, so worth coming. ***Very friendly place! We eat here all the time, sometimes more than once a day. They recently updated the restaurant and their menu. Although the plates are now smaller it is prettier and streamlined. The owner and the manager are both great guys who really listen to customers. Food and service are always really good!

Excellent food & service. We will definitely be back! The fajita meet is yummy and I am a picky person when it comes to fajitas! I highly recommend the grandes tacos!!!

We ordered for takeout. We had the fajitas and chips with queso. The rice and beans were delicious and the dinner plates were the best. The meat pieces were tasty yet still tender while being cooked to perfection. The chips and queso and queso fundido were bomb as well! A must try. The staff members were very nice as well.

They were open during Covid so we stopped by for lunch. Glad we did. It was extremely good.

I was disappointed with the service they switch servers on us and then the server we get was unprofessional, the pico de Gallo was nasty like it was old , the server came with some lame excuse that they make it every other day, yuk the soup was hot but soup was greasy, it was disappointing, I’m glad I’m just visiting Fredricksburg Texas,

Decent food, great margarita. I felt rushed when we were being seated, I was asked what do I want to drink before I'd even sat down and got my jacket off, without a chance to see the menu. The corn tortillas were tough as nails and some odd chicken nugget like thing was in our chip basket but other than that the food was good.

Best street taco's in town! Love this place. Great staff. Very very clean. Always a SAFE BET. I want to eat all the specials!

This was by far the best Tex-Mex I've ever had! The refried beans and rice was delicious...awesome beef enchiladas...guacamole so good! Will definitely go back!

I was told that I would like this place and they were right. My wife and I loved it. The food was delicious and the waitress was very nice.

Great experience, amazing food and customer service. The only drawback was one hour before closing the staff started clearing. Sweeping the floor, stirring up dust and moving chair and tables around in order to clear. I understand clearing is necessary but not during dinner time, when customers are trying to enjoy their food. We were on vacation on were looking to enjoy our full experience.

Finally!! This was the best mexican food I’ve had since I moved to TX. Excellent tamales (hard to find), a tasty cheese enchilada, and a bean & cheese tostada. It’s an hour and a half from home, but so worth the trip.

Ordered the two taco plate and as you can see it’s a pretty good size. The service was prompt and food came out quickly. There’s a large selection of margaritas! ;) I docked a couple stars because of flavor and authenticity. I think the meats are well prepared but is missing a dash of salt. The tacos didn’t come with expected accoutrements which for me is diced onion, lime and cilantro.

The food was okay. It is a little high for the quality of food and service they provide. The atmosphere is very nice. My sour cream enchiladas were dry and the rice was kinda crunchy. The flavors are good.

We were looking forward to this place since my family is from Guadalajara but that was quicky shot down after we were seated. Our drink and food order was taken immediately, good right? So we thought. My kids drinks came out quick but my michelada took 45 minutes. The sever forgot. I reminded him 3 times and had to tell another waitress who was the one to actually put it in. We waited 1 1/2 hours for our food and our appetizer came out at the same time which was no longer appetizing. I order my enchiladas with no cheese and guess what my ladas had on them? Pinche queso. So I told them to forget which I got an attitude for. No problem. No comida, no propina. I got full off a watered down michelada and chips. We didn't even receive as much as an apology. We just paid for over priced unauthentic Mexican food. If you want good Mexican food, go to Los Altos de Jalisco.

Very good. Quick service with a smile, good food and did I mention the atmosphere or the Margsritta's. Yummy...

First visit today.Swift and very friendly service. This place is very new. Everything is new. Authentic music and lively atmosphere. Ordered the Big Texas breakfast. The hash browns were nice. The eggs beautifully done as I ordered it.Toast toasted and buttered. The jelly on offer even included one that does not contain high fructose corn syrup. Bacon crisp.I note that an application is in for a mixed liquor license. Visiting at night will be my next venture.Welcome to Fredericksburg.

Enjoyed the food tremendously! It was a great change from the tourist infused Main Street grub. Good Tex-Mex for the price. Wait staff was very friendly and everyone asked how we enjoyed the food. Which we did a lot! A definite stop for a little change!

Me and my boyfriend ate here passing through Fredericksburg going back to Austin and we thought it would be a good place to go based on the reviews. The food was good, and the resturant atmosphere was nice. But nothing made sense we were taken to a table and a girl took our food and drink order, then a guy was getting our refills, refilling the chips, and getting us to go boxes, and a food runner gave us our check but didn’t explain that to us. We were confused on who our waiter was and were sitting there for about 15 minutes waiting to check out not knowing we were supposed to go up to the front and pay there. The people that work here need to communicate what’s going on more because the communication was poor with the workers and the customers.

Egg shells in my taco. The potato’s boiled and undercooked. What a disappointment, mind you it’s early in the morning when I placed my order so they had no customers . You’d think they’d take pride in their food.

Went here for breakfast, they serve it til 11am. Probably the best presented egg breakfast I have ever experienced! Had the Big Texas. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the toast was thick and grilled both sides, the bacon was crispy and flavorful. And at half the price of other breakfasts restaurants nearby. Will be back!

Great Mexican food. I stopped in with my crew to get some lunch. We were filming my new TV show called Drive Across Texas in beautiful downtown Brady, the heart of Texas. The food was great, the employees were very polite and fast with service, and the atmosphere was very friendly. Several of the locals eating at the restaurant we're very welcoming to us in this little town and rsturant. Folks, if your every in Brady Texas, be sure to stop by La Tequila Jalisco in downtown Brady and grab a bite to eat. Remember folks, that's coming from a Texan. Adios until next time.

My food was pretty good (I had the gordita with carne asada) but my husband didn't care for his tostada (only had beans and lettuce on it. We're used to it having meat too). The prices were also decent and they had a good selection of flavored margaritas!

First time being to Fredericksburg, and I wanted to eat here cause of the photos of the tacos others had shared. The food was fresh and very good. I like hot salsa and they have a trio of them. The darker red was by far the spiciest, followed by the green which tasted like avocado, good, and then the mild red, tasty.I had the Grandes tacos as well as the wife. Very tender beef and loved the roasted jalapeno. Kids had the chicken and beef fajita quesadillas, very flavorful and delicious. I would highly recommend a stop in at this place as it has happy hours specials. I joked to the wife about coming back 3 hours later when the margaritas were on special, but i was still full hours later, next time for SURE!
